ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR THE COURSE

Get ready to immerse yourself in a hands-on wilderness experience! During the Basic Bushcraft Course, students will explore our school property at a leisurely pace while learning to optimize their gear and utilize natural resources effectively. Here’s everything you need to know to prepare:

Key Details:

• Start Time: 9:00 AM
• Location: Ringtown, Pennsylvania
• Duration: Three days, two nights
• Focus: Students will stay on school grounds and sleep in tarp shelters crafted during the training.

On-Site Amenities:

• Bathrooms: PortaJohn facilities available.
• Vehicle Access: Students can access their vehicles during the course.
• Freshwater: Available on-site, but we recommend bringing an additional 1–2 gallons.
• Food: Dinner will be provided on the second night and will include a meat source. For all other meals, students are responsible for bringing their own nonperishable foods and snacks to help simplify break times.

PREPARATION TIPS:

• Bring nonperishable snacks and meals to keep you fueled throughout the day.
• Pack appropriately for outdoor conditions and bring gear for tarp shelter construction.
• An email with further class details will be sent one week before the start date.

Age Requirements:

• Recommended Age: 16 years and older
• Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
• Minors under 16 with outdoor experience are welcome, but parents should evaluate their readiness based on the physical and mental demands of the course.

• None: This course is designed for beginners and anyone interested in building a strong foundation in bushcraft and wilderness skills.
