Gear sensor plugs into controller on BBSHD or BBS02. Shift cable goes through the sensor which senses cable movement every time you shift gears. The sensor signals the motor controller to cut the motor for a split second while the shift is completing. This prevents the torque from the motor from damaging drive train components while shifting gears.
